WHPC Taiwan chapter emphasizes raising awareness, enhancing inclusivity, and empowering women in HPC
Founded on October 13, 2023, the Women in HPC (WHPC) Taiwan Chapter is the first in East and Southeast Asia, aligning with the global WHPC mission to promote gender diversity in HPC. Addressing the challenges Asian women face in science and technology, the Taiwan chapter emphasizes raising awareness, enhancing inclusivity, and empowering women in HPC.
Our mission focuses on broadening women's understanding of HPC's opportunities, with the goal of attracting and nurturing female talent. Our vision involves using HPC to address gender-specific challenges, including gender bias and societal pressures on family care. We aim to empower women with HPC knowledge and tools, believing in technology's potential to overcome obstacles to women's development and societal participation.
